After the discussion in class on Tuesday, I was drawn to the idea of analyzing my own experience in the sea of this large data set. Although I grew up in a middle class household, both of my parents did not, and I think they exemplify the percentage of college students who gained social and economic mobility from their college experience. Along with that, I have several half and step siblings who grew up in different income conditions who all have slightly different income situations today. Unpacking this complicated and unique family situation would be an interesting look into my place in the data, as well as a microcosm of the data as a whole.
In my narrative I would focus on the main topics of income mobility and how college played a role in that, however I think it would be worthwhile to pose related questions about how gender or mental health, specifically ADHD, influenced their experiences in college and method of income afterwards.
